Direct to Garment (DTG) printing uses water based CMYK ink to print your digital artwork directly onto a garment. DTG is the perfect print method for designs with high color, transparency, gradients, and photorealistic images. It can print any transparency, or color blends smoothly.

We use one of the highest quality DTG print machines available in the market today. We recommend 100% cotton garments for the best print results.

FAQs

Yes you can place a sample order with us. We highly recommend samples for designs with more complicated artwork, or if you are highly particular about colors. DTG reacts differently to different types of garments as well. Even if a garment is 100% cotton, depending on the dye, it may or may not work well with DTG. If using a garment with a more unique dye, we highly recommend testing it out first before a full production run.

No minimums are required. You can get started with just one garment.

DTG uses a CMYK process, so it blends cyan, magenta, and yellow to create over 16,000 colors. To see what your graphic would look like printed with DTG, we highly recommend changing the color mode in your graphics editor software to CMYK mode (Default setting is typically in RGB). You will typically see a slight difference in very fluorescent/neon colors.

If your artwork is highly detailed or photorealistic, DTG can capture all the detail and color in your original artwork. DTG also has no color limit. If you are trying to print something that has transparancy, DTG is able to replicate that in the print as well.

DTG service is also faster than screneprint because there is minimal setup involved.

DTG sampling is also great for just print size/placement reference. We can turnaround single samples fast.

With proper care, prints should last just as long as a screen-printed garments. We always recommend turning shirts inside out, machine wash cold, and hang drying to maintain prints for either screen print or DTG. Avoid using harsh detergents and bleach when washing.
